The first and only Permanent makeup academy in Kentucky, Ideal Academy will thoroughly prepare you for a successful career in the ever evolving world of Permanent Cosmetics. Located in the heart of Chevy Chase convenient to downtown, campus and New Circle, Road we are surrounded by thriving retail and are the ideal location & demographic to launch your career. Our owner and founder has been a successful aesthetician 15 years and permanent cosmetic artist 7 years. A firm believer in education and knowledge, she is dedicated to providing everything neglected in previous intro and advanced trainings. You will learn a composition of everything learned in over 25 individual trainings. We are passionate about the importance of every level of professional permanent cosmetics including, anatomy, theory, ethics, business building, client relationships and retention, and individual creativity. We CANNOT WAIT to bring this labor of love to fruition! There is a lot of red tape and hoops to jump through so upon approval from the Department of Education, Fayette county health department and the Society of permanent cosmetic professionals, we are hoping to have a fully functional four week Academy available in the spring. These classes can be custom-made and curtailed to individual needs as well as sections for advanced artists. Most introductory classes and Ideal Skin’s previous classes have been only four days. This is a very light intro, requiring much additional training and self practice. The new course will fully prepare you for everything to come including clients of your own within the academy to build your portfolio.
Courses will thoroughly prepare students to be knowledgeable in:
State laws
Sanitation and sterilization
Anatomy
Skin type vs. skin condition
Ethics/ proper terminology
Machines/ needles/ blades
Brow, lip & eyeliner Mapping
Permanent makeup application
Color theory/ pigment selection
Individualized programs and separate sections for each procedure
*Sectional trainings will be provided for previous students and practicing artists to hone in on specific skills.
Hello, I’ve been incredibly interested in doing micro blading for a couple of years.
I was disappointed that the closest in person training was in Cincinnati as far as I knew so imagine how thrilled I was to run across you tonight. I believe things happen in time on the correct schedule if you give it up to God once in a while. The kicker is I live on Oldham and Euclid! If you could let me know how much it would cost to be trained I’d greatly appreciate. Im currently unemployed so it may take a little time to get the funds but just know I’m truly interested and lowkey see it as a sign that your so incredibly close.

Hi, thank you for expressing interest and I truly agree God leads us in the right direction! I have offered training since 2019 however was recently approved as a full scale permanent makeup training facility. Classes begin 2/20 and will be held monthly beginning the 3rd Sunday of each month. This has been a long labor of love, certifications and investments so I am offering the first 3 months for $3999 which will include eyeliner training, free of charge. If you would like to train in lips as well it’s $4500.
I can guarantee this is the most thorough training in the area and will include the fundamental knowledge base to be successful. So many artist quit because they only comprehend the artistry.
If you are only interested specifically in Microblading we can do an individual or group training at a mutually convenient time, 3 days for $2695 however, you would truly be missing out if you don’t go with the academy training.

So do you do just powder brow training or is it all in one with microblading? And does it include the machine?
